Board of Directors now accepting applications for 2025

CGMA is looking for innovative Coast Guard leaders to join the Board of Directors.

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance (CGMA) exemplifies the Coast Guard’s commitment to supporting its own, providing financial aid to members in need.

The Board of Directors plays a vital role in shaping policy and overseeing financial decisions to ensure the organization’s continued financial stability and mission success.

Through their Board service, members develop valuable skills and experience personal fulfillment, knowing they positively impact the Coast Guard community’s quality of life, both now and for years to come.

The following Board positions are open:

  • Active Duty Commissioned Officer (O5&Above)
  • Active Duty Commissioned Officer (O1-O4)
  • Chief Warrant Officer (Active Duty W2-W4)
  • Alternate for Chief Petty Officer (Active Duty E7-E9)
  • Active Duty Enlisted (E4-E6)
  • Medical/Tricare Specialist (Active Duty HS or CWO Med)
  • IT/Cyber Specialist (Active Duty, Enlisted or Officer E6 & O3 & Above)
  • Commissioned Officer’s Spouse
  • Enlisted Member’s Spouse

CGMA is seeking applicants with expertise in data analytics, cyber/IT, multimedia and social media management, communications and public affairs, as well as training and education. Ideal candidates will have experience in overseeing these areas, with a focus on leveraging technology and media to enhance organizational growth and engagement.

You do not have to be located in DC to apply. Occasional travel to DC may be required, but the majority of business is conducted virtually. If elected, terms start on 1 July 2025 and run for three years.
