Be Part of the Power of Us

CGMA is powered by people who care about the Coast Guard community and are ready to show up for one another.

Attend a CGMA event, volunteer your time and talents, spread the word as an Ambassador, serve as a command-appointed Representative or connect your organization with our mission. However you choose to participate, you’ll be helping Coast Guard members and families connect with trusted resources and experience the Power of Us in action.

CGMA Open

More than a golf tournament, the CGMA Open is an annual gathering for members of the Coast Guard community and those who support them. Participants come together for exceptional golf, camaraderie and a welcome opportunity to unwind from the demands of service—all while supporting CGMA’s mission.

Volunteer

Today is a good day to make a difference in the lives of Coast Guard members and families. By sharing your time and talents as a CGMA volunteer, you can lend a hand with outreach, events and other mission-driven work that helps our community stay connected and supported.

Volunteer opportunities are available in many forms, and you do not need to live near CGMA headquarters to contribute. Whether you can help once, participate regularly or offer a particular skill, we would be glad to learn more about you and help identify the right opportunity.

Become a CGMA Ambassador

Awareness is often the first step toward assistance. CGMA Ambassadors are trained, authorized volunteers who introduce CGMA and its resources to units, spouse groups, Auxiliary flotillas and other Coast Guard audiences.

Ambassador opportunities are available to members of the broader Coast Guard community, including active-duty members, spouses, retirees, reservists, civilian employees and qualified Auxiliarists. If you are comfortable speaking with groups and passionate about connecting people with helpful resources, this may be the role for you.

Serve as a CGMA Representative

CGMA Representatives help eligible Coast Guard members and families understand available programs, work through the application process and connect with assistance when it matters most.

Representatives and Assistant Representatives are Coast Guard personnel appointed by their commands. If you are interested in serving, speak with your command or local CGMA Representative about the role. If you have already been appointed, CGMA’s onboarding and Representative resources will help you get started.

Partnerships

Organizations can play an important role in strengthening the Coast Guard community. CGMA works with mission-aligned companies and organizations to create partnerships that provide meaningful, practical support for Coast Guard members and families.

Opportunities include event sponsorships, program support and in-kind contributions. We will work with your organization to identify an approach that reflects your goals while advancing CGMA’s mission.
