CGMA Annual Campaign – The Power of Us

The Coast Guard Mutual Assistance has launched its Annual Campaign—a once-a-year, full-court press to raise critical donations for Coast Guard members and families.

The campaign’s theme, The Power of Us, recognizes a simple but important truth: CGMA could not provide assistance without the generosity of the Coast Guard community and those who support it.

Coast Guard Assistance Powered by Donors

CGMA is the Coast Guard’s official relief society and is 100% funded by donations.

Those contributions make it possible for CGMA to respond when members of the Coast Guard community face natural disasters, unexpected financial hardships, costly military moves, educational expenses and other challenges.

Every contribution becomes part of a larger collective effort—one built by Coast Guard members, families, retirees, civilian employees, volunteers, partners and supporters committed to helping their own.

$12.1 Million in Support

In 2025, CGMA provided $3.1 million in grants and $8 million in interest-free loans—a total of $12.1 million in direct assistance to members of the Coast Guard community.

That support was delivered through more than 40 programs addressing three broad areas of need:

• Disaster relief
• Day-to-day financial needs, including PCS transfers
• Educational support

Behind every number is a Coast Guard member or family navigating a difficult moment.

We met urgent challenges head-on, including the late-year government shutdown, providing $1.9 million to help cover basic needs. These efforts underscore both the urgency of our mission and the generosity of those who make our work possible.
