Will PFMs still be available during the shutdown?
Yes. Personal Financial Managers (PFMs) remain available to assist during the shutdown.
Can someone take out a shutdown loan if they already have an existing CGMA loan?
Yes. Members may request a shutdown loan even if they currently have another CGMA loan.
Can dual-military couples both receive loans?
Yes. One member may apply based on BAH with dependent, and the other based on BAH without dependent.
What if my unit doesn’t have a CGMA Representative?
Members can submit their application through another Rep Site. Use the “Find My Representative” feature on our website to locate the nearest Rep.
Can non-rates who don’t normally receive BAH apply for a loan?
Yes. Non-rates may receive a loan up to the non-rate BAH without dependent amount for their area.
What will CGMA do if members miss their second paycheck?
CGMA is closely monitoring the situation. If a second missed paycheck occurs, we’ll reassess and share updated guidance to ensure members continue to get the support they need.
