Coast Guard Mutual Assistance Releases 2024 Annual Report

Coast Guard Mutual Assistance has released its 2024 Annual Report, highlighting a year of significant support for Coast Guard members, families and communities.

The report shares how donors, CGMA Representatives, volunteers, partners and staff came together to address financial hardships, support educational goals and help Coast Guard families navigate emergencies and unexpected challenges.

It also includes messages from CGMA Board President RADM Joe Raymond, USCG, and CEO Brooke Millard, CDR, USCG (Ret.), reflecting on CGMA’s impact and the collective commitment that makes its work possible.

The Power of Stewardship

• In 2024, CGMA delivered $2.9 Million in grants and $5.6 Million interest-free loans fulfilling over 6,000 requests for support to the Coast Guard Community.
• 84% of CGMA’s expenditures were dedicated to our mission of Helping Our Own, when including interest-free loans

The Power of Giving

• CGMA’s highest grant went to support an E5 who lost nearly everything in Hurricane Helene.
• CGMA’s top three programs of 2024: Supplemental Education Grant, Rental Assistance Loan, Basic Living Expenses Loan.

The Power of Impact

• Former CGMA CEO Cari Thomas receives the Distinguished Public Service Award and 2024 Spirit of Hope Award.
• Recognition of 2024 CGMA Award recipients.

• As CGMA is 100% funded by donation, recognition of corporate partners, organizations, and individuals who collectively create the Power of Us!
